Blackchords have been humming around the Melbourne music circuit since 2005, but the opening stages of 2009 look set to be when the band finally makes it's mark. After spending most of last year soaking up a bit of Parisian bohemia, Blackchords frontman Nick Milwright has returned to his hometown Melbourne for the launch of Blackchords, and is taking his carefully cultivated pearl of an album on the road with shows in Melbourne, Sydney, Adelaide, and a couple of regional dates in between. Broken Bones has already won awards at the SoundKilda (Melbourne) and Below Ground (Sydney) Festivals for clip of the year. Broken Bones is currently in the final of the prestigious International Songwriting Competition in the Best Rock and Best Music Video categories.
