* Animal Kingdom is the long awaited debut album by Melbourne band Baseball. The album was recorded on 2 inch tape at Head Gap Studios (My Disco, Magic Dirt, The Slits, etc) in Melbourne, and has been mastered by John Golden (Sonic Youth, Chris Isaak, etc) in California. * Formed in Edinburgh, Scotland in 2002 - Baseball is the project of Thick Passage (Ninetynine, ex-Sandro) who fronts the band on vocals and rhythm violin, joined by Monika Fikerle (Love of Diagrams) on bass. The duo then acquired the services of Evelyn Morris (Pikelet) on drums and vocals, and Ben Butcher (The Assassination Collective) to play guitar. * Baseball have toured 18 countries in the last 2 years, which has seen them share the stage with the likes of Black Rebel Motorcycle Club (US), Vincent Gallo (US), Auf Der Maur (Canada) and Boom Boom Satellites (Japan) at the Hohaiyan Rock Festival in Taipei.
