BAYSIDE TOURING OZ AS PART OF THE SOUNDWAVE FESTIVAL

Bayside - Shudder packshotWhen punk rock judgment day comes, everyone knows which side of the fence Bayside will be on… the legitimate one. The current state of rock music has left acts in a never-ending sea of “genres,” and this current state of affairs has resulted in numerous bands tailoring their look and sound into something that can be labelled. Artists are unjustly pigeonholed and careers are shortened as a result.

But amazingly, Bayside has prevailed as rock’s leading indefinable, working class, relatable rock heroes. Since their inception on Long Island one fateful winter day in 2000, Bayside has become the voice for the misanthropic and the hopeful alike. Having released four studio albums with Victory Records since signing on in 2003, Bayside has sold over a quarter-of-a-million records and has become one of the most likable bands in the industry.

Imagine being around when The Clash released London Calling or Social Distortion released their self-titled record. It's that moment when one of our generation's most celebrated underground rock n'roll bands prepares the imminent release of their career-defining record. In the case of 'generation whatever-you-call-it', that record is Shudder, and it's from New York City's Bayside. Shudder is the next chapter in the Bayside tale that takes the band and their fans into the next stages of life. It's about growing up and moving forward into a new frontier that deals with personal growth, living life, trusting your friends and finding family where you thought you didn't have any. This is the band for this decade. This is a cult. This is Bayside.

Sleepless Nights and City Lights is the first ever live DVD from Australia's most prominent hardcore / metalcore act I KILLED THE PROM QUEEN. Rising to fame on the back of their highly acclaimed AIRA top 30 release "Music for the Recently Deceased" IKTPQ were destined for world domination when newly recruited UK vocalist Ed Butcher announced he was leaving the band. IKTPQ pushed on and completed a tour of Europe and Japan with stand in vocalists Tyrone (Mourning Tide) and Colin Jeffs but with no sign of a permanent replacement and original vocalist Michael Crafter briefly taking over the mic in Bury Your Dead the band were fragmenting. In mid 2007 the band announced they were officially breaking up but promised their Australian fans one last tour.

The bands chief writer Jona Weinhofen joined US heavyweights Bleeding Through while drummer JJ Peter's launched his solo career with Deez Nuts and original vocalist Michael Crafter fronted Carpathian before being voted into the Big Brother house, no doubt to stir the hornets nest...IKTPQ announced the Say Goodbye Tour in March 2008 and that original vocalist Michael Crafter would rejoin the band for this last hurrah. The tour took in over 20 shows nationwide, many of which sold out prior to the tour being announced. IKTPQ hand picked the bill taking out Melbourne's The Red Shore and internationals Bring Me the Horizon and Ghost Inside.

This feature length DVD captures the band in front of a rapturous home town crowd at HQ's in Adelaide tearing through songs from the bands entire career. It also includes in depth interviews with each member discussing their rise, break up and the possibility of a return...

The initial pressing comes in deluxe digi book packaging with a bonus live CD recorded at Melbourne's HiFi Bar and tour laminate.
